In this role, you'll install smart monitoring hardware at quick-service restaurants (QSRs), convenience stores, and similar commercial locations across the U.S. Expect to travel up to 75% of the time each month. You'll also collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to troubleshoot field challenges and help evolve our technology offerings.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Install GlacierGrid hardware on commercial HVAC/R systems at QSRs, convenience stores, and similar locations</li><li>Travel to installation sites across the U.S. (approximately 75% travel required monthly)</li><li>Set up and configure IoT connectivity solutions (e.g., WiFi networks, gateways)</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during or after installs</li><li>Contribute to R&amp;D efforts by providing field insights and feedback</li><li>Vet, train, and support a national network of third-party technicians</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction</li><li>Maintain clear documentation and communication for all field activities</li></ul>About You<ul><li>5+ years of experience as a full-time HVAC/R technician (commercial experience preferred)</li><li>Skilled at installing and configuring control systems on HVAC/R equipment</li><li>Comfortable with IoT and network configuration in the field</li><li>Strong communicator with the ability to train others on standardized processes</li><li>Highly organized, self-motivated, and responsive under dynamic schedules</li><li>Creative problem-solver with a hands-on mindset and curiosity for new technology</li><li>Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the U.S. each month (up to 75%)</li></ul><div><h3>More about GlacierGrid</h3>Founded by entrepreneurs from Harvard, Columbia, and UC Santa Barbara, GlacierGrid partners with industry-leading brands to significantly reduce energy and food waste, addressing critical climate issues.
