The Mechanical BIM Technician plays a crucial role in the MEP team by supporting the implementation and maintenance of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies specific to mechanical systems. They work closely with the BIM Manager and design team to create and manage accurate and detailed BIM models, contributing to the successful delivery of MEP projects.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Collaborate with the design team to develop accurate and coordinated mechanical BIM models using software such as Autodesk Revit.</li><li>Ensure the integration of mechanical systems, components, and equipment within the overall building model, coordinating with other disciplines.</li><li>Assist in the creation and management of mechanical system families, templates, and libraries to enhance productivity and standardization.</li><li>Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews to identify and resolve conflicts between mechanical systems and other building components.</li><li>Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating design changes and ensuring data accuracy.</li><li>Generate detailed mechanical drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models for documentation and coordination purposes.</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to incorporate accurate product data and specifications into BIM models.</li><li>Support the BIM Manager in implementing BIM standards, guidelines, and best practices within the mechanical discipline.</li><li>Assist in the coordination and integration of BIM deliverables with other project stakeholders, including contractors and consultants.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest developments and advancements in BIM technology, processes, and software tools related to mechanical systems.</li><li>Provide technical support to the design team regarding BIM software usage, troubleshooting, and collaboration workflows.</li><li>Participate in project meetings and interdisciplinary coordination sessions to contribute to the overall project objectives.</li><li>Collaborate with the BIM team to ensure effective data exchange and coordination among all MEP disciplines.</li><li>Maintain clear and organized documentation of BIM models, revisions, and project-specific requirements.</li><li>Follow established quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of mechanical BIM deliverables.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Diploma or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, BIM, or a related field.</li><li>Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, and familiarity with other relevant tools.</li><li>Understanding of mechanical systems and components commonly used in building services.</li><li>Knowledge of BIM standards, practices, and coordination processes.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.</li><li>Professional certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).</li><li>Experience in using BIM software in the MEP industry.</li></ul>Please note that due to the volume of applications, only candidates with skills and experience matching our current vacancies will be contacted.
