<div><p><b>REPORTS TO</b></p></div><p>Function Manager or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.</p><p></p><div><p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES </b></p></div><ul><li>Develop design ability and quality within the function group.</li><li>Able to organise information well and communicate design intent through software tool output e.g. structure a drawing correctly and communicate design intent through drawing using CAD.</li><li>Draft technical reports of excellent technical and presentational quality.</li><li>Provide technical solutions and develop an appreciation of outcomes.</li><li>Taking ownership and responsibility for their work and completing it on time and within budget.  </li><li>Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and check and take responsibility for the work of others.</li><li>Supervise a small team of junior technical staff and ensure effective utilisation of team members.</li><li>Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.</li><li>Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.</li><li>Quality assurance throughout the project life cycle.</li><li>Managing all sections of projects</li><li>Good software tool understanding whilst working with minimum supervision to produce deliverables.</li><li>Understand the principles of the design process and how design is translated into deliverables through the use of software tools.</li><li>Able to present/represent their technical work, present service offering to potential clients and present technical work at technical conferences.</li><li>Understands the key project issues and how this influences their work.</li><li>Submission of Expression of Interest EOIs, RFQs, tenders and Proposals for the function and to provide input into large infrastructure projects as required.</li><li>Ability to check and inspect constructed works for compliance with design and specifications.</li><li>Work on multiple projects/contracts at the same time.</li><li>Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.</li></ul><p></p><div><p><b>RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE  </b></p></div><ul><li>B. Eng or B. Tech degree from an accredited University or University of Technology</li><li>Professional registration with ECSA</li><li>10+ years’ post graduate experience in the design and implementation of transportation and/or municipal services infrastructure, bulk water and sewerage infrastructure</li><li>Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation is essential</li><li>Working knowledge of Infraworks, Storm &amp; Sewer Analyses, iDAS, Water Design Software or Open Roads will be advantageous.</li><li>Interest or experience in BIM systems will be a distinct advantage</li><li>Ability to write technical reports</li><li>Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Experience in administering GCC 2015 projects</li><li>Professional delivery and appearance to ensure SMEC image is maintained</li><li>Courteous and business-orientated manners when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations</li><li>Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment</li><li>Project financial knowledge including budgeting, forecasting and invoicing</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
