Design Engineer, Electrical (Remote)

The Design Engineer, Electrical will be responsible for producing in-house electrical designs.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and develop electrical systems for utility-scale solar projects.

• Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, ETAP, or similar.

• Perform calculations and simulations for MV Routing and DC Conductor Sizing.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

• Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

• Exhibit a strong sense of urgency in meeting project deadlines.

• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, engineering principles, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and adhere to all safety protocols.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

• 2 years experience with utility-scale solar systems preferred.

• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, PVsyst, ETAP, or similar).

• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including AC/DC circuits, power distribution, and grounding/bonding.

• Basic knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering principles, and industry best practices.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

$89,600.00 - $112,000.00
