Job Summary: The Solar Installer will assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This position requires travel. Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs and other structures.</li><li>Configures PV systems based on site conditions, customers’ needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid.</li><li>Follows building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures.</li><li>Inspects electrical installation and wiring.</li><li>Tests operating voltages; calibrates to ensure systems are within acceptable power limits.</li><li>Assembles solar array racking, mounting hardware, properly seal all roof penetrations, and installs all related equipment</li><li>Performs routine maintenance on PV systems.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul> RequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Basic knowledge of PV equipment and installation, preferred.</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment, preferred.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to read building plans, preferred.</li><li>Ability to read equipment manuals.</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.</li></ul> Education and Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Vocational or technical school training preferred.</li><li>One to Three years solar experience required.</li></ul> Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to work at great heights.</li><li>Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.</li><li>Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, etc)</li></ul> <div>Salary Description</div><div>$20 to $22 per hour</div>
