As a member of the Regional team, the Commissioning &amp; Startup Engineer will interact routinely with the Product Delivery Engineering Functions, Operational Excellence, plant operations, and maintenance personnel to provide “hands-on” field-engineering &amp; troubleshooting leadership support, instructions, and technical guidance related to the sites in identifying operational excellence gaps, ensuring the end design meets stakeholder expectations.  The position will also work in the development of the operators during the commissioning and startup phase of the Project. The incumbent will work to coordinate and utilize in the most effective manner the available operating and technical Operations resources available regionally and globally to support new and existing operations and new installations or modifications led by Project Engineering or the Global Engineering &amp; Manufacturing Organization.  The position will share learning’s with the Regional Leadership which will assist in driving consistency in global commissioning and startup within Air Products across all countries for the commissioning role.Key Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensure the safety of all site personnel by utilizing the Air Products Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc.  The position provides commissioning and startup support for organizing, executing, and auditing the safety systems, to build the Air Products safety culture into the site organizations being supported.</li><li>Provide Commissioning &amp; Startup support and safety leadership for FCNs/ MOCs, OPHRs, and other safety related initiatives to drive process safety compliance.</li><li>Provide Commissioning and Startup support for the completion of the Pre-Safety and Startup reviews (PSSR).</li><li>Provide Commissioning and Startup support in complying with the Completions Tool deliverables.</li><li>Provide Commissioning &amp; Startup support to the Operations organizations in order to effectively operate the Hydrogen (SMR / POx), ASU, HYCO, Gasification, Utilities and Ammonia facilities in Region to meet the customer’s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility of product supply while in compliance of contractual requirements.</li><li>Provide expertise by supporting the site Commissioning Manager for operating plants and ensuring that the equipment has been installed, operated, and maintained correctly.</li><li>Support planning activities for projects in the region; systems including validations, Mechanical Integrity and Management of Change along with procedures development &amp; implementations.</li></ul>Minimum Hiring Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering</li><li>Minimum 7 years in Engineering or Operations roles, 3 in a commissioning support role.  </li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate, commission, startup, troubleshoot, assess, and resolve various plant related issues, preferably in Industrial Gas facilities.</li><li>Experience and knowledge in the technology, design, and operation of Air Separation, Hydrogen (SMR / POx), HYCO, Gasification, Electrolysis, Utilities &amp; Ammonia process systems preferred.</li><li>Strong background in all aspects of operating facilities including machinery, instrumentation and controls, electrical, mechanical systems, and advanced controls across multiple technologies.</li><li>Demonstrated operations and technical skills.</li><li>Ability to read P&amp;IDs, isometrics, interpret design curves of field machinery &amp;
