To start, you will be working directly with the ETU 2.0 Project Lead to support the transition from Build and Test to Integrated Systems Operations, to help ensure the success of the world’s largest, molten, fluoride-salt demonstration of the KP-FHR technology. You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the ETU 2.0 Project and KP-FHR program, by ensuring collaboration and coordination occurs in the design, manufacturing, and operations of equipment and systems.Responsibilities<ul><li>This role will be dynamic and will require you to coordinate work and lean into developing solutions across various stakeholders (other engineers, designers, and technicians) for complex issues impacting project objectives/milestones</li><li>Eliminate roadblocks across teams within Kairos Power by increasing transparency of engineering information by being able to quickly learn technical information and drive independent quick decision making to rapidly implement practical solutions</li><li>Support efforts to close design and operational tradeoffs and coordinate project reviews (as appropriate)</li><li>Maintain excellent communication with teams and project lead(s) of status and issues</li><li>Interact with internal/external parties on equipment designs or fabrication of components</li><li>Support the development of systems engineering design best practices, system</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, or other related engineering discipline</li><li>7+ years of relevant engineering experience with an emphasis on project engineering, systems engineering, process design, engineering design, engineering testing, systems integration and plant and/or system of system operations.</li><li>Demonstrated project experience with engineering integration where multiple system owners, stakeholders and entities are all required to collaborate to delivery the project</li><li>Demonstrated project experience with using and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&amp;IDs), piping isometrics and mechanical assembly drawings is required.</li><li>Demonstrated project experience with Test Plans, Test Procedures, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing as well as integrated system commissioning is strongly desired.</li><li>Working knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) for power plants or chemical plants is desired</li><li>Demonstrated project experience collaborating with test and operations organizations</li><li>Demonstrated ability to apply engineering knowledge to deliver results while being able to thrive in an environment with evolving requirements</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and able to be independent, resourceful, and proactive in the face of the lack of information or unknowns</li><li>Desire and ability to
