Electrical Technician

We’re looking for an Electrical Technician for Jebel Ali, who will be focusing on the delivery of planned maintenance programs to ensure reliable and safe asset operation. You will coordinate and undertake a range of maintenance activities within defined operating procedures and, also conduct safety inspections and comply with Aggreko's safety regulation. You will provide first level technical advice to customers and may resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems.

What you’ll do:

• Perform mechanical servicing activities and general equipment maintenance in line with operating procedures and work instructions including A & B service, green carding / post contract assessment & pre-delivery inspection, engine fault finding / repair and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out mechanical troubleshooting and fault diagnostics as required.
• Assist with site installation (to designed layout), commissioning and decommissioning to acceptable Aggreko standards if needed.
• Respond effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.
• Ensure the completion of equipment repairs are on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
• Adhere to Global Service Centre Standards (GSCS) within working environment at all times.

• Electrical/mechanical assembly & repair of Aggreko products with defined SOW, in accordance with work instructions and quality control documentation
• Testing of Aggreko products
• Fault Finding/troubleshooting of Aggreko products

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

• Specialized Diploma / Vocational Training in a technical, engineering, or relevant field
• At least -3-5 years of experience in the Electrical field. Experience in the Mechanical field a plus.
• Technically Competent, preferably within a Power Generation Environment
• Experience in operation and maintenance of diesel / gas generators and their axillaries.
• Minimum 3 to 5 Years of Experience in Diesel Engine OEM, Rental power company or Utility maintenance comprising DG set, chillers etc.
• Able to work under pressure and deliver tasks on time, safely, while maintaining quality standards
• Effective troubleshooting capability and ability to read electrical drawings.
• Availability to travel as and when required.
• Site/Depot based job requiring both technical and manual work to be conducted in all weather and terrain
