If you are prepared to work in an exciting and rewarding environment, we look forward to considering your experience and qualifications.</strong></p><p><strong>Shift/Hours/Location:</strong> 6:30am-5pm, Mon-Thurs &amp; Tues-Fri, rotating each week on days worked (shift times do not change, only days worked will change), Onsite, Moses Lake, WA</p><p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON</strong></p><ul><li>The technician is responsible for various work assignments that involve Distributed Control System and Programmable Logic Controller control logic programming, configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting, as well as DCS and PLC hardware troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance.</li><li>Generation of process controls design packages following MLI Engineering Project Guidelines and industry best practices.</li><li>Create and update control system documentation such as cause and effect interlock matrices, I/O mapping, and control narratives.</li><li>Provide technical leadership in maintaining automation standards, software, and hardware infrastructure, and system optimization for plant process control systems and control schemes.</li><li>Stay current with the latest automation hardware and software technologies, process controls, process simulation, and networking.</li><li>Understand/analyze existing DCS configuration and PLC control logic, recommend solutions, and complete projects to address identified issues.</li><li>Provide technical assistance to Engineering team members or other department team members.</li><li>Monitor and address control system issues for DCSs, PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, and related devices.</li><li>Responsible for hands-on fixes, including installations and upgrades.</li><li>Identify problematic areas and inform internal customers of possible solutions.</li><li>Provide commissioning and start-up support for new or existing control systems.</li><li>Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.”</li><li>Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.</li><li>Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required.  It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high performing team.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Vocational/Technical Associates degree in the DCS/PLC/HMI configuration field or equivalent industrial automation experience.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience programming and troubleshooting automation systems.</li><li>Basic knowledge of DCS and PLC installation and troubleshooting, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices.</li><li>Experience with control system wiring, cabling, servers, computers, and equipment used in new construction.</li><li>Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.</li><li>Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to:<ul><li>Read and understand repair manuals and drawings.</li><li>Apply proper safety practices and follow procedures while performing maintenance or troubleshooting tasks.</li><li>Read and understand control system, electrical, and process drawings (P&amp;IDs).</li><li>Follow written and verbal instructions in English.</li><li>Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines.</li><li>Work independently or as a team member.</li><li>Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>SALARY &amp; BENEFITS</strong></p><p><em>Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.</em></p><p>Summary pay range: $65K-$87K</p><p><em>Located in central Washington, an outdoor recreational oasis, we offer the following benefits: compensation, medical, vision, and dental insurance benefits.</em></p><ul><li>You can work in an environment where teamwork is encouraged and where you have the opportunities for personal and professional growth.</li><li>Generous PTO: Your time off is important</li><li>Medical/Dental/Vision: Majority of premiums paid by MLI.
