Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. </li><li>Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using proper equipment/tools, as needed. </li><li>Repair or replaces defective parts, as needed. </li><li>Install special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools. </li><li>Start and operate devices to test their performance. </li><li>Lubricate and clean parts as well as provides manufacturer recommended maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly. </li><li>Repair electrical systems, including control systems. </li><li>Weekly and Daily cleaning of customer equipment.</li><li>Perform preventative, corrective, predictive and emergency maintenance, may require 24-hour availability for emergency response/support. </li><li>Provide accurate and timely reports of maintenance issues at the site. Maintain records of repairs, time spent, part usage and other information for historical data, as directed by customer using Maintenance Connection and CMMS. </li><li>Notifiy management of any abnormalities, which may impair the proper functioning of the equipment before the equipment breaks down. </li><li>May use cutting, brazing, or welding equipment to repair equipment, as required. Must be regular in attendance at work location during scheduled work hours. </li><li>Must maintain a safe workplace. </li><li>Must comply with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures. </li><li>Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.</li><li>Must comply with all personal protective equipment requirements. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Maintenance Technician Qualifications:<ul><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>Valid Driver License.</li><li>2+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations.</li><li>Possess mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions regarding repair and maintenance of passenger loading bridges. </li><li>Ability to complete training and security checks required to receive security badge for access to restricted airport areas. </li><li>Intermediate understanding of PLC Control systems a plus.</li><li>Proficient with problem solving, math reasoning, verbal and written communications. </li><li>Must be detailed oriented.</li><li>Familiarity with Airport operations a plus.</li><li>Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>Ability to communicate professionally to customers and fellow employees.</li><li>Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.</li><li>Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift including weekends and holidays.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of an Maintenance Technician, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic.
