We are planning to strengthen our energetic, ambitious and enthusiastic team with a  Field Service / Commissioning Engineer - Ship Electrification Solutions (m/f/d) The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Hamburg, Germany. What you will be doing  As Field Service / Commissioning Engineer - SES your work will focus on these responsibilities:  <ul><li>Commissioning-, repair- and warranty works in the areas of electrical power generation, power distribution &amp; electrical shore connection systems</li><li>System testing and analysis on equipment and systems on site</li><li>Testing and acceptance of installation as well as the necessary adjustments</li><li>Supervision of sea trials, training of ship's crews</li><li>Presentation and hand over of equipment's systems to the ship owner, shipyard and the classification societies</li><li>Preparation of service/installation reports as well as feedback on technical content/changes to involved departments</li><li>Support and guidance of remote commissioning for other departments of the group  </li></ul>To be successful in this role we expect you to have:  <ul><li>A Masters or Bachelor's degree in a relevant area (Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology with strong focus on electrical part), or equivalent</li><li>Professional experience, especially in the fields of power generations plants, control and converter technology, medium-voltage systems</li><li>Knowledge in the field of customer service and ship operation appreciated</li><li>SPS skills are desirable</li><li>Structured and practical way of working with hands-on attitude</li><li>English language (written and spoken)</li><li>Willingness and wish to travel frequently around the world 80% </li></ul>  Why you and us?  We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
