Job Description:Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Fabricator &amp; Testing Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and operating CNC and manual machines, ensuring that parts are produced and tested to specifications. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in maintaining quality standards, improving efficiency, and ensuring the timely delivery of products and test results.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes.</li><li>Assemble fixtures and set up basic load testing conditions.</li><li>Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and blueprints to program and machine parts to precise specifications.</li><li>Perform MIG welding of fixtures (1/4" - 3/4" thick carbon steel).</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure smooth operations.</li><li>Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure optimal product quality.</li><li>Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li><li>Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve product quality.</li><li>Document and track production progress, including machine settings, tool usage, and material consumption.</li><li>Maintain an inventory of consumables, tools, materials, and machine parts.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is preferred.</li><li>Proven experience (2+ years) as a CNC fabricator in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of CNC fabrication principles, materials, and testing and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Proficiency with CAM and CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).</li><li>Ability to MIG weld mild steel for fixture loading.</li><li>Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.</li><li>Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality control standards.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production and testing deadlines.</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Knowledge of multi-axis CNC machines is a plus.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Exposure to noise, machinery, and potential hazards; safety gear is provided.</li><li>Compliance with safety protocols and proper use of protective equipment is required.</li></ul>At Nextracker, we are leading in the energy transition, providing the most comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers.
