You will be supporting and assisting clients in the preparation of their existing asset sustainability strategy, target-setting and engagement and performance optimisation process. You will join a friendly, experienced team of Building Performance Services, Sustainability Services and ESG specialists. While based in Melbourne, you will be working as part of a broader national team. We focus on helping building owners and look deeper and see further, considering building performance optimisation to develop strategies and designs to address their material climate risks and opportunities. As part of a national team within our Building Performance team, your impact will be seen by:<ul> <li>Working closely with clients to understand the performance requirements for their assets including net zero targets, performance optimisation, electrification, emission footprint etc.</li> <li>Identifying opportunities and implementing sustainable practices and cost-saving improvements by using energy audits or industry-based rating assessments and tools such as Green Star Performance, NABERS, etc.</li> <li>Conducting meetings with clients and providing project management to determine scope, budget, and timelines.</li> <li>Undertaking assessments and audits on a broad range of facilities. </li> <li>Assisting the team with ongoing day-to-day utility performance and management plans of a portfolio of assets (including but not limited to energy, water, IEQ, waste, carbon emissions, renewables). </li> <li>Provide advisory services to developers, facility managers, asset managers, portfolio owners. </li> <li>Joining a growing group of specialist Building Performance consultants within Cundall’s broader team, with opportunities to be part of our growth from early on and be rewarded through career development opportunities.</li></ul> <h2>The Skills</h2><ul> <li>Tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering, or similar.</li> <li>Experience within the building services sector in a consultancy / contractor capacity.</li> <li>Excellent understanding of building services and management system operations. </li> <li>Application of analytical knowledge of building energy performance solutions.</li> <li>Preparation and implementation of portfolio strategy or energy transition and renewables. </li> <li>Experience in undertaking energy audits. </li> <li>Accredited NABERS Assessor (desirable).</li> <li>Accredited Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) Assessor (desirable).</li> <li>Accredited Green Star Performance Accredited Professional (desirable).</li> <li>Registered Climate Active Carbon Neutral consultant (desirable).</li> <li>Understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia, Australian Standards, and relevant Codes of practice.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment.</li> <li>Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, effectively resourcing to meet client deadlines.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, technical analytical skills.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li> <li>Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.</li> <li>High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ul> We provide a diverse and inclusive work environment and offer many benefits to ensure your professional development while maintaining a healthy work-life balance such as flexible start and finish times, working from home, diverse and exciting engineering projects, paid parental leave, paid purchase leave, professional memberships, birthday day off, amongst others. Job Description Your career at Cundall We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture.
