You will make an impact in this role by:<ul><li>A CNC Set-up Machinist must be very adept with the usage of various software like CAD or CAM.</li><li>Needs a strategic mind to decide the best possible sequence of workflow to produce a particular product. Must think quickly and have good problem-solving skills.</li><li>Must be motivational and know how to set goals and priorities.</li><li>A CNC Set-Up Machinist has a very varied job profile. Must write CNC programs and necessary documents, or modify existing programs, that help to set up the machines.</li><li>Must study the drawings of different components that must be manufactured. Then must decide the different tools and operations and the sequence in which they must be carried out, in a manner that utilizes efficient usage of resources.</li><li>Required to estimate the time needed to finish the job.</li><li>Reviews three-dimensional CAD blueprints and then translates them onto CAM. This includes at a customer or supplier location.
