And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated CMM Programmer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.  The position is based in Batesburg, SC.Accountabilities:<div>Inspects Commercial off the Shelf items (COTS), electronic assemblies, castings &amp; machined components. Inspects for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, workmanship, compliance with Hitachi drawings and technical specifications.  </div><div><ul><li>Creates Quality Notifications (QN), Quarantines Non-Conforming product to the appropriate area &amp; distributes the QN via email to the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for resolution. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Conducts First Article Inspections (FAI), records findings on the associated forms &amp; makes entries on the FAI SharePoint site. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Records inspection results in via SAP </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Assists in gathering department assets for weekly calibration </li></ul></div><div>Required skills/experience:</div><div><ul><li>HS diploma (or equivalent) plus 3+ years of incoming inspection experience or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>CMM experience with PC-DMIS Software (CAD &amp; Non-CAD) </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience using common measuring tools such as micrometres, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, Shadowgraph, thread gages &amp; hardness tester  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning &amp;Tolerancing   </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficient use of Microsoft office suite: Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong oral and written &amp; communication skills to clearly present data from findings </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Able to make decisions regarding product acceptance utilizing product documentation and company workmanship criteria </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders   </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Self-motivated nature, able to work effectively with minimum close supervision</li></ul>​Benefits: Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
