Brief Description:
The Inventory Clerk has attention to detail, a sense of confidentiality and a desire for enabling continuous improvement. This position requires a high sense of accuracy, and operational standards through performance of operational process. The inventory clerk will assist in the organization and efficiency of the inventory department.
- Manages inventory levels by stocking and cataloging parts and supplies.
- performs physical counts of items in order to maintain accurate inventory.
- On a daily basis, counts and reconciles chosen part numbers and/or locations.
- Accurately inputs inventory data to ensure inventory accuracy.
- uses motorized equipment including: order picker, sit-down forklift and stand-up reach truck.
- Follows Company safety rules and policies.
- Ensure that incoming products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability upon delivery.
- Communicates quality standards of incoming and existing product to inventory/warehouse manager.
- Knowledgeable of product placement and inventory control processes and procedures.
- Sorts and places materials and items on racks, shelves, or in bins.
- Performs data entry tasks involving inventory and warehouse activities.
- Uses tools including: screwdriver, pry bar, hammer, drill and banding machine.
- Dismantles shipping containers and pallets.
- Ensure compliance to inventory processes and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training in inventory control in warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Experience utilizing a computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns and documentation.
- PC literate with experience writing emails; experience using MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Access; ability to learn Company specific system.
- Experience using WMS software is a plus.
- Forklift certification is a plus. Position requires internal certification.
Physical Requirements:
Considerable physical activity with prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds. May require walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting. reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function of the job.
Working Environment:
Work is normally performed in a warehouse environment. May also include working outdoors or traveling in vehicles. Employees will generally work a 40 hour work week. At times it may be necessary to flex the schedule in order to meet deadlines or the demands of offices in a different time zone.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will be in the rang of $17 to $18 per hour. GreenPower offers benefits including health/dental/vision/prescription drug plan, flexible benefits plan, 401(K) retirement savings plan, life and disability benefits, paid holidays and paid vacation.
