We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team at Canadian Solar. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in efficiently and safely moving materials, products, and inventory throughout our warehouse facility, using Raymond brand forklifts.

Job Details

  • Operate Raymond sit-down forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products in a busy warehouse environment. 

  • Safely transport goods to designated storage areas, ensuring accurate placement and proper stacking to maximize space utilization. 

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, containers, and trailers, adhering to established loading procedures. 

  • Perform routine pre-operational checks and maintenance on Raymond forklifts to ensure proper functioning, reporting any defects or issues to the supervisor. 

  • Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment and inventory. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles, storage locations, and loading docks. 

  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill orders, complete inventory counts, and support overall warehouse operations. 

  • Assist in the labeling, tagging, and identification of materials and products as required. 

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize work, and ensure timely completion of assignments. 

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times. 

Experience & Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating pallet jack forklifts. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety practices and operational procedures. 

  • Ability to operate forklifts in tight spaces, aisles, and around obstacles. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and inventory. 

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception. 

  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and carrying items as needed. 

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
