We are looking for a talented UTILITY FIELD ENGINEER based out of our Lewiston, Maine office, with regular travel to job sites in New England.  This position also allows for hybrid remote work with in person office work as needed.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Include but are not limited to:<ul><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Construction monitoring tasks including interpretation of applicable construction drawings.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Assist with the review of plans and specifications and prepare a checklist of contract features which require periodic attention and list items the sub-contractor must submit for approval prior to the start of the work.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Assist with project budget creation and tracking.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Assist with project schedule creation and updating.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Assist with material and equipment procurement</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">Send out Plan of The Day reports to clients as needed</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Supervise Subcontractors and communicate with vendors</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Assist in interpretation of proposals/specifications and drawings for field crews and  craft supervision</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Ensure maintenance of accurate document records.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Assist with preparing statements of work, submittals, change management, and necessary daily and weekly reporting.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Promote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Check and report on progress of work in the field.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-left:8px;">Understand and support all Company policies and procedures and follow/communicate accordingly.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">When appropriate, participate in, and actively support, all Company training, safety and management development initiatives.</li></ul>   SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Strong computer skills.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Able to understand the importance of being able to multi-task, work efficiently under tight time frames, respond to requests in a timely manner, and communicate effectively as a team player.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Effective organizational skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communication skills.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Ability to read, interpret, and review construction specifications and drawings.</li></ul>    PREFERRED SKILLS:<ul><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Ability to read, interpret, and review construction specifications and drawings.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Experience with Bid2Win, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Experience supervising subcontractors.</li><li style="margin-left:7px;text-align:justify;">Experience with document control, and material management</li></ul>    Sargent Electric Company and all its affiliate companies are committed to providing equal employment opportunities in all aspects of employment to qualified individuals without regard to the following criteria: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, mental or physical disability, age, familial or marital status, ancestry, military status, veteran status or genetic information as well as any other prohibited criteria under any local, state or federal law applicable to Sargent Electric Company. </div>
