POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an enterprise data platform engineer, you will design and build some of the foundational data products that will be used across the enterprise including the entity masters, security master and common investment management data products and make them available on the Delphi platform for consumption across the enterprise. Delphi is a cloud-native multi-tenant PaaS running on Azure.  You should be comfortable designing, building and managing cloud-based data pipelines and services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build, own and scale data products designed for enterprise consumption.
• Work closely with various stakeholders including business teams, data stewards, various consumers to define product roadmap and bring them to fruition.
• Manage a team of highly motivated data engineers – provide oversight on design, development and help shape the careers of the team members.
• Design and implement a data serving architecture and accompanying programming model to support various analytical workflows in near-real-time in a multi-tenant environment.
• Design, implement and maintain a Java/Python library of integration middleware that includes authorization, control policies (retries, throttling), error handling and other cross-cutting concerns.
• Design, implement and maintain a Java/Python library and any required accompanying services for managing both short-term and long-running transactions and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• 13+ years of experience in technology and/or data functions in financial services or consulting industry; bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields.
• Experience with cloud-based distributed systems, including system design, implementation, and production operation.
• Experience with parallel & concurrent programming, including an understanding of the tradeoffs between state consistency models, throughput & latency, asynchrony & synchrony.
• Willingness to learn and model a complex domain, apply sophisticated engineering techniques, and operate as part of a team.
• Ability to instrument, analyze and react to operational metrics.
• Experience with our tech stack is appreciated but not required.
