<h2>Overview</h2><p>Performs general janitorial duties required to enhance and maintain the appearance of the facility, including the manufacturing and office areas. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones</li> <li>Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed</li> <li>Replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems if applicable </li> <li>Empty trash and recycling bins</li> <li>Stock and maintain supply rooms</li> <li>Vacuum, sweep and mop floors</li> <li>Clean and maintain restrooms</li> <li>Washing and clean windows and mirrors</li> <li>Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions</li> <li>Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment</li> <li>Dust furniture and fixtures</li> <li>Make sure the establishment is clean and meets all safety requirements</li> <li>Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects</li> <li>Waters plants as required</li> <li>Clean breakroom, wipe down tables &amp; chairs</li> <li>Clean refrigerator and microwaves</li> <li>Assists in snow removal/salting when required</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervision</li> <li>Follows all safety rules and practices</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Strong time management and organization skills</li> <li>Good communication skills</li> <li>Knowledge of material cleaning chemicals and supplies</li> <li>Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds</li> <li>Physical endurance </li> <li>Flexibility with working hours</li> <li>High school diploma or GED certificate (not always required)</li> <li>Proven working experience as a janitor 1-3 years </li></ul>
