Our culture supports our values by fostering innovative and critical thinking and a deep belief in living up to our promises.   Headquartered in the United States, Pattern has a global portfolio of more than 30 power facilities and transmission assets, serving various customers that provide low-cost clean energy to millions of consumers.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>JOB PURPOSEThe purpose of the SCADA Engineer role is to support the SCADA Manager to oversee the development and administration of power plant SCADA systems, overlays and other business intelligence solutions for the Pattern Fleet.  Specifically this requires the direct support, oversight or contractor management for regulatory compliance, software change management and maintenance activities of wind turbine generator, transmission substation and solar facility SCADA infrastructure.   Key Accountabilities<ul> <li>Leverage contractors, service providers and other internal resources to create sustainable and reliable solutions for Pattern’s business needs.</li> <li>Lead requirements gathering for new systems and existing system improvements.</li> <li>Be first point of contact via Email/Phone for any SCADA Support issues during normal business hours and after business hours, to include weekends.</li> <li>Assist in the commissioning of SCADA systems for new Power Plants around the world.</li> <li>Assist in SCADA and RTU performance analysis and root cause analysis for assets in the Pattern fleet.</li> <li>Mature and administer Pattern’s SCADA database replication solution for assets in the Pattern fleet.</li> <li>Act as main point of contact for OEM SCADA System, substation SCADA, Met Towers.</li> <li>On-time support for any SCADA Support tickets/ Respond to phone calls urgently. Be able to prioritize between multiple issues based on its severity.  Take immediate actions to restore from outages.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Experience/Qualifications/Education Required  <ul> <li>A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or demonstration of equivalent work experience</li></ul> <ul> <li>Prior Wind SCADA experience with SQL background. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Experience with GE Wind SCADA, Siemens WPS SCADA, Vestas VOB SCADA, Orion LX RTU, SEL Relays, SEL RTAC, CR1000 MET Logger</li></ul> <ul> <li>Prior Wind SCADA experience with Substation SCADA. Good Programming skills. Knowledge of Turbine Fiber Network, TCP/IP, and Windows Server Platform.</li></ul> Additional Requirements<ul> <li>Knowledge of substation protocols such as Modbus, DNP 3.0, and Turbine communication protocols such as OPC DA,UA, HDA, and XML. Campell Scientific CR1000 MET logger programming such as Loggernet.</li></ul> The expected starting pay range for this role is $97,000- $120,000USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
