We are currently seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager for Mechanical Components. The Senior Global Supply Manager manages global sourcing for all assigned commodities and work, supporting various vehicle systems, maintains the component timelines, and assists with purchasing throughout the company.

You Will:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage global suppliers for mechanical components used in PCBA and ECU manufacturing.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers while maintaining a focus on cost competitiveness and quality.
  • Develop long-term relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to understand the requirements for mechanical components in PCBA and ECU designs.
  • Provide technical expertise to assess the manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness of mechanical components.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure mechanical component designs are optimized for manufacturing and meet product performance requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, enhance quality, and improve supplier performance.
  • Create RFQs, review, analyze, and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations
  • Thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT), NDAs, MSAs.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential suppliers, industry trends, and emerging technologies in mechanical components.
  • Be responsible for Driving and Tracking all mechanical component related ECRs
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies for mechanical components used in electrical control units, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
  • Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems that arise
  • Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, parts availability and cost status
  • Perform supplier assessments, audits and site inspections; develop process improvement plans and drive implementation; monitor and maintain performance metrics
  • Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance discipline required; Masters preferred
  • 5+ years minimum Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience with plastics, die-casts, stamping, PCBAs or electronics
  • Experience with developing supply chain strategies for mechanical components used in electrical control units, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
  • Product launch experience preferred.
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, as well as work independently on multiple tasks or projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of resilience to deal with urgent requests, and minimal information.  Works well with various teams.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff.
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Word, JIRA, Confluence, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
  • Experience managing large data sets in Excel
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$118,600$163,020 USD
