You'll work on a product that trains 40% of the world’s bridge officers, enhancing maritime safety and training. As part of an innovative team, you'll shape maritime simulation and engage with real users to make a tangible impact. As Software Developer Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities:  <ul><li>Develop and maintain a web application using React + TypeScript</li><li>Work with Canvas/WebGL for data visualization</li><li>Integrate mapping services (Mapbox, Leaflet)</li><li>Develop Web Components</li><li>Use MobX for state management</li><li>Conduct code reviews, write tests, and participate in technical discussions</li><li>Collaborate with backend developers and contribute to API design</li></ul> To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:  <ul><li>5+ years of experience in front-end development with React + TypeScript</li><li>Strong understanding of ES6+ and modern JavaScript standards</li><li>Experience with MobX</li><li>Experience working with Canvas and 2D graphics</li><li>Understanding of Web Components</li><li>Experience with Mapbox, Leaflet</li><li>Proficiency with Git (GitHub Actions as well)</li><li>Experience with SCRUM (Agile) development processes</li></ul> Nice to have: <ul><li>Experience with Thrift</li><li>Knowledge of Node.js</li><li>Experience with D3.js, PixiJS, WebGL</li><li>Experience with SASS/LESS and knowledge of BEM</li><li>Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).</li></ul> Why you and us?  We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
