Equipment Operator, Processing Facilities

GFL Environmental is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Brampton, ON location!

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the excavator in a safe and efficient manor
• Complete excavator inspection each shift, report all defects immediately to management.
• Wash excavator at the end of the shift.
• Clean ramp to pit rooms regularly
• Clean up pit room
• Garden/power washer hoses are to be coiled up at the end of the shift.
• Rinse totes and drums as required.
• Crush drums as required
• Supervise dumping of all truck when in the pit and take appropriate sample
• Off load trucks if require, vac truck , fluff trucks or containerized waste.
• Any leaking roll off are to be cleaned immediately.
• Assist with operation as require by supervisor
• Operate loader, skid steer and forklift
• Housekeeping in or outside of facility.
• Assist in a spill
• Back up truck as required
• Communicate if there is any special processing at the beginning of the shift.
• Any other duties as assign by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• G Class Drivers License
• Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident, consistent decisive personality.
• Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
