What will you do in this role? 

The Lead Sales Engineer within ICEYE’s Data line of business will be responsible for enabling technical sales, acting as a key technical advisor for potential customers, and ensuring the successful integration of the ICEYE’s SAR data products. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer relationship management, and sales strategy development to support revenue growth.

The core responsibilities of this role are as follows:

    • Serve as the technical lead in sales engagements, presenting solutions that align with customer requirements.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor technical solutions accordingly.
    • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept exercises for potential customers.
    • Design solution architectures to meet customer specifications, and support the development of technical proposals.
    • Act as a liaison between sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and addressed.
    • Provide pre-sales support by answering technical inquiries and resolving customer concerns.
    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of ICEYE’s products, services, and industry trends.
    • Participate in strategic planning for business development and customer retention.
    • Support and mentor junior staff members and contribute to their professional development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience in technical sales engineering roles, preferably in the satellite imagery domain, spanning both B2B and B2G environments.
  • Proven expertise in delivering impactful technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant technical solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex customer challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher level) in Remote Sensing, Geography, Engineering or a related technical field.
