AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Federal Project Manager for immediate employment in our Central Civil Works Department. In this role you will help manage our flood risk management design and construction projects for USACE, USIBWC, NRCS, and other federal and sometimes non-federal entities. Our projects include assessment, inspections, alternatives analysis, design, and construction of dams, locks, levees, floodwalls, floodgates, stormwater pump stations, riverbank and coastal erosion mitigation, ecosystem restoration, sediment diversion, wetland creation, and other related hydraulic projects. This position can be a hybrid role allowing you to both work from home and from the office, as appropriate for your projects.Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>Manages all phases of projects (from proposal to close-out).</li><li>Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.</li><li>Strictly adheres to AECOM and federal/client quality control and safety planning and requirements.</li><li>Strictly adheres to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).</li><li>Develops detailed subcontractor scopes and bid sheets, and follows the FAR in subcontractor selection process.</li><li>Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.</li><li>Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.</li><li>Advises/mentors less experienced staff on project management skills and mentors staff interested in project management as their Deputy Project Managers.</li><li>Oversees design staff and team members for civil works, flood risk reduction, and CSRM projects in completion of alternatives analysis, value engineering, plans, specifications, Design Documentation Reports, and Opinions of Probable Cost.</li><li>Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, promotes AECOM’s capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients, and assists in the technical write ups and strategies for TORN responses and Statements of Qualifications for MATOC/SATOC/IDIQ/IDC pursuits.</li><li>Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.</li><li>Monitors and reports financial status of projects to upper management.</li><li>Occasional overnight travel may be required.</li></ul>
