The opportunity
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join our Grid Integration business in Raleigh, NC, as a Project Planning Specialist! In this role, you'll be at the heart of our project execution, ensuring that every project has a comprehensive, dynamic, and well-structured schedule that meets contractual objectives. You'll collaborate closely with various stakeholders to coordinate work, manage risks, control costs, and align resources. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting schedule and resource analysis and preparing progress reports for both external and internal use. How you'll make an impact
Create, maintain, and analyze project schedules, costs, resources, and risks with Project Managers and team members.
Highlight schedule deviations, problems, and solutions to Project Managers when necessary.
Communicate schedule information to stakeholders.
Develop solutions for delays with the project team.
Follow up on projects, prepare reports and analyses (S-curves, CPA, Resource Histograms, On-Time-Delivery Milestones).
Promote planning and scheduling importance and act as a role model.
Drive the implementation and use of planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
Experience in planning and scheduling.
Proficiency in Primavera P6.
Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
Ability to create and maintain project schedules.
Self-motivated and responsible.
Goal-oriented and structured.
Project Management Certificate (PMP® and/or PMI-SP®) preferred.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
