In this exciting role, you will lead innovative initiatives that align with our organizational goals and advance sustainable energy practices across the region.  As Commercial Building Decarbonization Principal, you will:<ul><li>Steer the strategic direction of CET’s building decarbonization team, developing and implementing a roadmap for expanding impact in the commercial energy space through new partnerships, internal skill-building, and innovative program design and delivery methods. </li><li>Advise on strategies to enhance adoption in underserved communities, with an emphasis on equity and accessibility. </li><li>Stay current on industry trends and regulatory developments, integrating leading-edge solutions into CET’s projects.  </li><li>Foster relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and industry partners, promoting CET's mission and initiatives. Represent CET at conferences, workshops, and industry forums to share expertise and promote building decarbonization efforts. </li><li>As an active member of CET’s Management Team, collaborate with other leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness. Provide technical guidance to the Technical Services Department and mentor staff, encouraging professional growth in energy efficiency and decarbonization fields.  </li><li>Participate in travel throughout New England and attend national conferences and training sessions as required. </li></ul> You will bring the following to this position: <ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy management, or a relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>At least 7 years of progressive experience in energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization, including a strong background in both residential and commercial sectors.  </li></ul><ul></ul><ul><li>A deep understanding of energy-efficient technologies, electrification strategies, and carbon reduction frameworks, financing mechanisms, carbon accounting, and decarbonization incentives relevant to commercial energy. Ability to successfully mentor and disseminate knowledge to others.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to build partnerships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and industry partners. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategic initiatives and to successfully bring internal stakeholders together to achieve ambitious goals. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. </li><li>Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. A proactive and adaptable approach to complex challenges.  </li><li>Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check.  </li></ul>This position requires reliable transportation for work-related travel. Mileage will be reimbursed when using a personal vehicle.
