About the Job
Responsibilities:
- On-going, timely and accurate planning of material requirements to support manufacturing plans, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle within Natron operations and through the external contract manufacturing supply chain.
- On-going, timely and accurate capacity planning across external contract manufacturers and multiple internal Natron sites.
- Lead the establishment of business operations processes for production planning/scheduling, inventory management, forecasting, materials purchasing, and customer order acknowledgement.
- Lead the implementation of new NetSuite software modules in operations as required to support company growth, integrating with the operations, finance and sales functions as appropriate.
- Develop standard costs in collaboration with Finance and Operations Management
- Develop budgets for implementation of trial development plans and new product introductions.
- Determine material requirements from sales forecasts, and engineering program schedules.
- Coordinate efficient movement of materials among Natron manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers with external logistics providers, manage shipping and receiving activities.
- Ensure accuracy of data fields in NetSuite material planning system (BOM, Item Masters, Travelers, etc.).
- Manage special builds for technology development, new product development, and field trials
- On-going management of all aspects of in-house inventory, including cycle counting process, API, Audits and inventory adjustments
- Provide reports and updates on performance measurements to Management Team.
- Carry out materials sourcing and buying tasks for raw materials and intermediate BOM components (subassemblies) from contract manufacturing partners to maintain flow in the supply chain.
Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years of industrial materials management and enterprise resource planning experience is required
- Expert knowledge of NetSuite ERP systems, tools and procedures; and MS Office applications is required
- 7+ years of successful industrial experience managing people in a production environment
- BS Degree in Operations, Management, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficient use of ERP systems
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
- Excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills; including concise reporting of inventory, lead time, order status, and throughput
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a mix of small & large project-based environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) best practices
Logistics:
- Regular, full-time position reporting to the VP of Supply Chain
- Position will be based out of Holland, MI.
