Check out our <a href="https://www.youtube.com/c/alexanderdennislimited">YouTube channel</a> or <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/alexander-dennis">LinkedIn</a>!Your dream role: <ul> <li>We need a Vehicle Body Repairer to Carry Out Processes on a range of Passenger Carrying vehicles, including preparation &amp; assembly, Construction, Sub-Assemblies, Panelling &amp; Flooring</li> <li>This is a Permanent, Full time, site based position.</li> <li>Make Up &amp; Fit Seating, Trim, Floor Covering, Internal Finishes &amp; Fittings, Manufacturing Components As Required</li> <li>Prepare Metal, Plastic &amp; Fibreglass to a Pre-Paint Standard, whilst ensuring repairs are carried out efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner possible.</li> <li>Ensuring that you comply with all H.S.E legislative laws and regulations` as well as the company’s Health &amp; Safety and ISO Quality policies and procedures will be critical to this role.</li> <li>Ensure all PPE, tools and equipment are used correctly and any defects are reported as necessary for repair or replacement.</li> <li>Interpret &amp; implement Technical Service instruction data.</li> <li>Be reliable, Flexible self-motivated with a positive attitude to fellow workers and customers.</li> <li>Positively impact our customer by providing a high quality of work and service at all times.</li> <li>We are a fast-paced business with priorities shifting all the time. The flexibility to adjust start and finish times to meet customer requirements as well as the ability to work occasional weekends would be a distinct advantage for this role.</li> </ul>What you will bring: <ul> <li>Experienced in Body Panel and ideally Mechanical repair of bus, coach and or similar commercial vehicles. Ideally with practical experience in: Glass Fibre Repairs / Refurbishment, Structural Framework Repairs / Refurbishment, body panel shaping, cutting, painting.</li> <li>Things can be hectic here so you will have the ability to work unsupervised, often to tight deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate, understand and be compliant in vehicle maintenance procedures and VOSA standards.</li> <li>Experience in Gas, Electric, MIG and TIG welding.</li> <li>Experience in LGV / HGV and PSV carrying vehicles, if you hold vocational PSV or HGV licenses – even better!</li> <li>A full UK driving license would be an advantage for this role.</li> <li>A good understanding of Bus Coach and commercial vehicle systems as well as great knowledge of the various body/mechanical repairing techniques.</li> <li>Demonstrable ability to use the required tools safely and interpret technical manuals and service updates.</li> <li>The ability to work off site unsupervised when required.</li> <li>Good oral, written and numeracy skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise a busy workload.</li> </ul>Next steps:If this sounds like you, and you’re interested in coming ‘aboard’, then we would love to hear from you.
