About the Job
Role
- Integrate your experience with prismatic and/or LFP cells, modules, or packs from cell suppliers or OEMs.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
- Develop and qualify manufacturing equipment, including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Utilize data analytics tools such as JMP, SQL, Tableau, and Python to analyze manufacturing data and drive decision-making.
- Apply mechanical engineering principles, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis, to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Ensure cell quality through experience with APQP, PPAP, teardown analysis, audits, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
- Enhance suppliers' Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to ensure robust risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular quality audits at international supplier’s facilities to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Drive cell design and process improvements based on lesson learned and industry experience
- Resolve performance or quality issues by working closely with suppliers and internal teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct material characterization using techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS).
Qualifications
- 3+ years industry experience in battery cell Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, particularly with APQP and PPAP processes.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 50%.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.
- Strong data analytics skills, with proficiency in JMP, SQL, Tableau, and Python.
Education
- Bachelors with 5+ years of experience or masters with 3+ years of experience or a PhD
