And after all the features have been deployed, we disc golf." - Danny<h3>Your impact (grow it!):</h3>As a Senior Consumer Product Designer on the Experience team, you will be directly responsible for shaping the full experience hundreds of thousands of our users see across web, mobile, email and push notifications.. We will look to you to understand our users, design experiences that help them save money on their energy bills, and market product changes to those users. You will grow the company’s consumer product from strategic insights you gather, working alongside a small team of driven software developers, product managers, and marketing gurus who are hungry to make an impact on our users and the planet. You will obsess over the details of our experience, identifying pain points and addressing our users’ heartfelt desires through creative design. You will set the bar for design quality that will drive organic growth, quality engagement, and strong user retention for many years to come.&nbsp;Here’s some exciting stuff you will be asked to do:<ol><li>Conduct both generative and evaluative research to understand our users and their feedback about upcoming or recent product changes</li><li>Partner daily with product managers, engineering, and other teams to create and refine new user experiences</li><li>Analyze user behavior using tools like Posthog to understand how designs are driving the desired outcomes for users</li><li>Survey current and potential users on their needs to guide implementation of features, source new ideas, and evaluate product performance</li><li>Work alongside a talented team of senior engineers who have expertise in consumer, energy, and smart device applications</li><li>Partner with product managers to understand the business impact of experience changes shipped in recent releases</li><li>Test creative outside-the-box ideas and iterate constantly to disrupt Optiwatt’s status quo from within and unlock deeper product value in every corner of the application</li><li>Interface directly with marketing to communicate features to the public as the voice of our user base, ensuring that our offerings are as intuitive as possible to interested parties</li><li>Continuously improve through feedback, as an individual, team, and organization</li></ol>About YouYou are someone who is….<ul><li>Experienced with consumer mobile app design (1-2 years)</li><li>User-Centric, constantly evaluating designs from the lens of a user first, and does what's needed to build empathy with those users. Bonus points for being a target user.</li><li>Familiar with working at an early-stage, remote startup</li><li>Able to lead design work proactively, constantly pushing the right design into the hands of users</li><li>Working independently and prefer the fast pace and scrappy mindset, having launched 1-2 products or features from the ground up</li><li>Data oriented.
