Engineering Material Requirement Coordinator
The opportunity
Join our dynamic team at Hitachi Energy as an Engineering Material Requirement Coordinator! In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our Bill of Materials (BOMs) for various products. You'll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to streamline processes and drive efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your organizational skills and attention to detail in a supportive and innovative environment.
How you'll make an impact
- Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials for various products.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy.
- Ensure BOMs are complete with all necessary components and materials listed.
- Manage BOM changes and updates through an established change control process.
- Work with suppliers to make revisions and changes as needed.
- Analyze BOM data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Train team members on BOM processes and best practices.
- Monitor material consumption in relation to the closure of production orders.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience considered.
- 2+ years of experience in BOM management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proven experience with ERP systems and BOM management software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
