This position requires a passionate engineer with expertise in a wide variety of vehicle systems to calibrate and develop acceleration performance, dynamics, thermal endurance, towing, driveline response, and other attributes. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to follow a first-principles approach to solving problems, make data-driven decisions, communicate well, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</span> <br> <br><strong><span>Role Responsibilities:</span><span> </span></strong></p><ul><li><span>Calibrate industry-leading torque control systems on high performance vehicles to achieve performance, drivability, vehicle dynamics, and efficiency goals.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Define attribute goals for vehicle performance and work with powertrain, chassis, and other controls engineers to tune hardware and software simultaneously to achieve them.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Work closely with controls engineers to develop a strong understanding of the system and improve algorithms to meet attribute goals. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Travel to test facilities near-by and around the world to calibrate systems in all relevant situations. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Develop and execute test plans to validate calibrations against subjective, objective, regulatory, and functional safety requirements.</span><span> </span></li></ul><p><strong><span>Qualifications:</span><span> </span></strong></p><ul><li><span>Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, electric powertrains, and control theory fundamentals. First-principles approach to understanding new systems and solving problems. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Extensive experience in powertrain or drivability calibration, particularly for electric or high-performance applications. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Work effectively with others: receive and provide feedback clearly, kindly, and constructively. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Data-driven: translate subjective feedback into effective calibration changes through data analysis and sound reasoning. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Superb written communication skills.
