GEA provides sustainable solutions for sophisticated production processes in diverse end-user markets and offers a comprehensive service portfolio. For our offices in Alcobendas, we are currently looking for a Regional Category Manager Logistics, Warehouse, Packaging Services WEMEA.The main responsibilities are:<ul><li>Leads, creates and implements the procurement strategy for regionalized Logistics &amp; Warehousing sub-categories (road freight, packaging, and warehousing) in the WEMEA Region.</li><li>Supports regional implementation of the procurement strategy for global Logistics &amp; Warehousing sub-categories (airfreight, sea freight, and courier) in the WEMEA Region.</li><li>Identify and realize cost saving potential, set and control saving targets for the relevant categories.</li><li>Leads negotiations, ensure contract management, drive procurement activities as regional category manager.</li><li>Continuously optimize procurement processes and related key figures.</li><li>Ability to manage &amp; support process changes which bring financial and operational impacts to GEA.</li><li>Understanding of tendering processes and negotiations with transportation and warehousing providers.</li><li>Understanding of logistics rate card structures and cost components.</li><li>Able to identify savings opportunities during operational day-to-day activities</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>Master or Bachelor Degree – Business related field</li><li>At least 5 years of strategic procurement experience required.</li><li>Negotiation experience required.</li><li>Experience in working with cross-functional and international teams required.</li><li>Spanish &amp; English (fluent)</li><li>Italian (optional)</li><li>Very good analytical (data) capabilities, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.       </li><li>Takes ownership of the work, successes and mistakes    </li><li>Very good communication skills  </li><li>Strong change management skills</li></ul><div></div><div>We offer:</div><ul><li>A flexible remuneration package</li><li>Work-life balance hybrid working model as a combination of home-office and working in the office </li><li>23 vacation days per year </li><li>Great work environment as part of a collaborative team  </li><li>Internal training and career development opportunities at national and international level  </li><li>Be part of a "Top Employer 2025" company.</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
