AECOM is seeking a Senior A/E Project Manager based in Austin, Houston, or Dallas, TX, to join our team as we capture, lead, and execute interdisciplinary building design projects with a focus on Higher Education or Public Safety/Municipal Work. Our team operates in a cross-discipline, collaborative, and design-focused environment. This role will be responsible for managing the proposal, scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Acting as a primary point of contact with the client throughout the project lifecycle
  • Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in the coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
  • Working with local and regional business development staff and business line leadership to identify and pursue clients and projects
  • Reviewing contracts, preparing fee proposals and project execution strategies
  • Managing and leading all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools
  • Managing sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance
  • Leading the team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget
  • Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks
  • Maintaining project documentation control
