Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing the automatic welding/soldering process for defining and realizing possible improvements (mechanically and electronically) while obtaining the required conditions for the finished product.
- Analyzing the raw materials which are used in welding/soldering process by means of chemically, physically and way of usage. Proposing alternative material usage and improving the usage of material. (higher efficiency, lower cost, environmental issues)
- Optimizing and standardizing configuration of welding/soldering process by the experimental results from the field. (Machinery functionality parameters setup)
- Defining optimum functionality parameters and formalizing these parameters with product specifications.
- Preparing Product Improvement Manuals which includes project and set up specifications of the units.
- Defining the quality criteria /controls on the welding/soldering process.
- Analyzing process data in order to prevent possible inefficiencies and/or performing improvement tunings.
- Inspecting the failure analysis data in order to define the reason of the problems and necessary modifications to come out.
- Takes actions on the different projects chosen by his supervisor for his own department or for different departments/BorgWarner companies.
- Make necessary training and follow the update of train level of technicians
- Follow TPM and Frequency of the electrodes and welding equipment.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Engineering
- At least two years of experience as a Welding Engineer operating with highly automated process.
- Must be familiar with automation, testing system and their use in manufacturing, measurement and assembly.
- Must be familiar with current design, analysis and verification techniques, automation, and testing system.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the use of MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with PLC programming & robots.
- Experience in reliability and failure Analysis (i.e. MTBF, FMEA, Quality Tools etc.).
- Experience in Electrical/Electronic measure, measurement equipment (i.e. Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, LCR meter, Insulation Testers) and system of measure.
- Good Knowledge of SPC.
- Knowledge about analogue and components.
- Basic knowledge about mechanics and materials electrical properties.
- Fluency in English
