Electrical Engineer

• Design and Planning:
  • Review and interpret power distribution system designs, ensuring that the design meets all project requirements and complies with industry standards.
  • Work with the design team to create and review electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and schematics for power distribution systems.
  • Perform load calculations and analyze the power distribution network to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Design and specify electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers as per project needs.
• Project Execution and Coordination:
  • Supervise electrical contractors and ensure work is carried out according to the design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams (mechanical, civil, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the broader project scope.
  • Review material submittals and ensure that materials and equipment used comply with project specifications.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of the installation process to ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Technical Support:
  • Provide technical assistance to the construction team and resolve any issues related to electrical installations.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical problems related to power distribution equipment, systems, and controls during project execution.
• Testing and Commissioning:
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and other related equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation and certification of testing activities and ensure systems are ready for operational use.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes, standards (such as IEC, NEC), and environmental regulations.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform risk assessments and maintain a high level of awareness regarding the safety of personnel and equipment.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation related to electrical works.
  • Liaise with the client, contractors, and suppliers to provide timely project status reports and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain and update project records, including design drawings, change orders, test results, and as-built documentation.
