Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer – Mining & Events

With expertise across power, heat, and cooling, we provide essential services wherever they’re needed. We’re hiring a Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of heating and cooling systems for mining and event applications across the APAC region.

What you’ll do:  

• Design and Size Systems: Deliver HVAC, chiller, and boiler designs tailored for mining and event environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Technical Delivery: Support thermal projects from concept to commissioning, conducting site-specific thermal load assessments.
• Engineering Collaboration: Work with Sales, Operations, and QHSE teams to develop cost-effective and compliant solutions.
• System Optimization: Evaluate system performance and implement improvements for fault tolerance and redundancy (e.g., N+1 configurations).
• Proposal Support: Contribute to technical documentation and design inputs during bidding and project planning stages.
• Field Support: Provide operational and commissioning support, including troubleshooting during deployment.

You’ll have the following skills and experience: 

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications or Chartered status are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HVAC, chiller, and boiler systems, ideally in mining, temporary infrastructure, or industrial settings.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, psychrometrics, pressure vessel and piping design, and control systems integration.
• Tools & Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar tools for system layout and design.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and hands-on troubleshooting skills, especially in field environments.
• Communication: Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills to work across functions and support client needs.
