About the Job

The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Asset Performance Manager to lead the lifecycle management of EV charging infrastructure across various locations. Based out of our Richmond, VA office, this role plays a key part in ensuring optimal delivery, documentation, performance, reliability, and financial efficiency of deployed EV charging assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in asset management, financial analysis, and operations—particularly within the EV or renewable energy space.

Team Oversight & Coordination

  • Manage a team responsible for onboarding and maintaining EV charging assets, as well as coordinating “equipment-only” project execution.
  • Oversee daily operations, help set priorities, and ensure team workflows align with company objectives for efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Team responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end order fulfillment for EV charging equipment and services
  • Coordinating and scheduling regional and national installation projects
  • Ensuring timely, accurate order processing and status updates
  • Maintaining Salesforce and customer portals for order and asset tracking
  • Issuing purchase orders to subcontractors, assisting with invoice approvals, and asset registration
  • Monitoring EV charger performance, utilization, and uptime
  • Identifying underperforming assets and coordinating resolution with support and field teams

Asset Lifecycle & Performance Management

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of EV charging assets—from procurement through retirement
  • Track financial performance using ROI, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and asset valuation models
  • Utilize asset management platforms, IoT tools, and diagnostics to monitor and improve asset performance
  • Apply predictive analytics and remote monitoring to increase reliability and reduce downtime
  • Maintain detailed records of asset condition, service history, warranty coverage, and maintenance logs

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Support, and Service Operations teams to ensure asset performance meets business goals
  • Collaborate with network providers, site hosts, and service partners to maximize uptime and asset utilization
  • Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership on asset performance, risks, and investment opportunities

Your Experience & Capabilities

  • 5–7+ years of experience in asset management, operations, or financial analysis (EV or renewable energy industry preferred)
  • Familiarity with asset tracking tools, CMMS, and service platforms
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to operational details
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with EV charging networks, OCPP protocols, and smart charging technologies
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, energy infrastructure, and renewable energy markets
  • Understanding of utility rate structures, demand charges, and government incentive programs
  • Experience supporting fleet electrification or managing large-scale EV infrastructure deployments
US Salary Range
$80,000—$95,000 USD
