At MyForest Foods, our Food Production team supports MyForest’s scale up of our delicious meat alternative products. The role processes raw materials into finished product and packages product for storage and customer delivery.
To be successful in this role, candidates will demonstrate experience working in the food industry, specifically as a line cook, food manufacturing, and/or ingredient companies working on a production line. A Food Production Operator uses industrial kitchen equipment, including commercial fryers.
We expect our team members to care deeply about safety, both human safety and product quality. A successful candidate will have experience complying with safety programs and policies, as well as food safety plans.
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies
- Food production experience in a culinary or manufacturing environment, preferably with produce and/or vegetarian products
- Experience working with industrial kitchen environment
- Excited about the meat alternative market
- Comfortable working around sharp knives, deli slicers, stoves, ovens, and industrial dishwashers
- ServSafe and/or HACCP/HARPC certifications preferred.
- Emphasis on quality control and cleanliness
- Requires a level of interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with team members.
- Good verbal and written communication
- Safety priority mindset, complies with all safety policies, and actively points out ways to improve safety on the job.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively with a team..
- Ability to adapt to technology and applications if required (ex. google, email, calendar, sheets, docs, forms, slack)
- Can perform a full day of manual labor including regular standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, reaching, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Add a little coconut oil for the perfect sizzle, and you’re looking at a seriously meat-like bacon alternative, so reminiscent of the traditional bacon-y flavors and textures you love.</p> <p>Now that we’ve figured out how to create a sustainable supply of eats, it’s our aim to pass the plate around the planet, honoring mycelium’s potential to feed the future, one delicious bite at a time.</p>
