The opportunity

This role is part of a globally responsible team dedicated to producing consolidated financial statements for Hitachi Energy. You'll bring your expertise in technical accounting, your skill in handling large data sets under tight deadlines, and your collaborative mindset to work closely with our global finance team. How you’ll make an impact

• Preparing reports, including but not limited to income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow

• Monitoring and ensuring that the reporting units accurately report transactions in the specific areas of responsibility

• Analyzing the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, equity, CTA, overall intra-Hitachi Energy reporting, goodwill, acquisitions and divestments-related reporting, and other consolidation items

• Supporting high-quality sub-consolidated reporting to our HQ in Japan, including identifying and implementing process efficiencies, and coordinating with other functions within Hitachi Energy who are input providers

• Ensuring assigned internal controls are properly and timely performed

• Involving yourself in global Chart of Account processes and governance

• Cooperating with internal and external auditors to provide support during audits

• Ensuring accuracy and correctness under time pressure

• Interacting with different people from subsidiaries around the world

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics and/or Business Administration

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting and/or reporting

• Fluency in written and spoken English (other languages are an advantage)

• Knowledge of consolidation tools is a plus

• Good Excel knowledge

• Flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Team player
