Strategic Finance is responsible for the firm financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, Senior Management reporting, profitability analysis and other strategic analysis work.  The Associate position is structured to provide exposure across all disciplines of Strategic Finance and build a comprehensive knowledge of Apollo’s businesses and the alternative asset management industry.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Consolidated &amp; Business segment Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting<ul><li>Work on non-comp expenses for firm, segment, and funds</li><li>Generates monthly and quarterly financial reporting tracking actuals vs. budget / forecast for key metrics working with Finance, Business, and other departments (Equity, Credit, Tech etc)</li><li>Will be the primary business unit owner to deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting tracking actuals vs. budget / forecast with key metrics for areas such as Finance, the business and other departments (e.g., Corporate Services, Legal)</li><li>Spearhead, manage, and run point on the annual budget, long-term plan, and monthly forecasts for the business unit/departments</li><li>Maintain detailed and flexible models supporting annual budget, long-term plan, and monthly forecast, including variance analysis along with other central deliverables</li><li>Own and manage financial modeling on current and potential business initiatives</li><li>Respond quickly to global ad hoc requests</li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>4-5 years of financial analysis experience</li><li>CA by qualification is required</li><li>Experience of Power BI, Delphi Pyramid will be a plus</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and experience in Financial Planning and Analysis</li><li>Exposure to complex organizational structures</li><li>Highly analytical; Excellent Excel-based modeling skills are required</li><li>Strong PowerPoint presentation skills are required</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment</li><li>Operates with high energy and a “can do” attitude with top-tier work ethic</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li><li>Proficiency in OneStream will be a plus</li></ul>Apollo provides equal employment opportunities regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, veteran status, gender/sex or sexual orientation, or any other criterion or circumstance protected by applicable law, ordinance, or regulation.
