Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Design, implement, tune, and deploy highly available system resources in support of mission critical business processes.
- Administer and manage all aspects of application hosting including operating system staging, sizing, and storage integration, ensuring data availability, integrity, and redundancy.
- Monitor storage and virtualization performance, addressing any bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Manage resources on Cloud Platforms, integrating them with on-premises infrastructure when necessary.
- Set up, maintain, and monitor server resources, databases, and applications across various hosting platforms both local and remote.
- Provide support for network, storage, and virtualization-related issues.
- Integrate ITIL processes to ensure proper system governance via incident, problem, and change management.
- Develop roadmaps and architecture lifecycle plans to ensure platform stability and leveraging new innovations.
- Ensure security best practices are followed within the environment.
- Collaborate with Security team to ensure smooth inter-departmental operations.
- Document standard operating procedures, network diagrams, and other critical IT documentation.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina
- The responsibilities of this role require daily in-office work and attendance at other in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in server system architecture, storage solutions, virtualization, system design, deployment, and administration.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
- Keep updated with latest technologies and trends related to compute, network, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $120,000.00 - $140,000.00
Internal leveling code: IC8
