Job Description

  

Job Summary:

Establishes, tracks, reports, and forecasts all facets of assigned programs to compliantly satisfy the reporting requirements for both internal and external customers.  At this level, tasks and assignments tend to be complex, non-routine and/or require a greater level of expertise and duties are performed under very limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor and analyze financial data on a routine basis in support of assigned programs/ projects
  • Analyze activities such as program spending, cost analysis, invoicing and collections, forecasting and other tasks related to contracts / programs.
  • Utilize Cost Point/Deltek system and other Teledyne management tools to run reports and analyze data
  • Monitor expenditure of contract funds in accordance with contract terms through creation and maintenance of direct project spend plans.
  • Support Program Manager and Project Leads in all areas of business management of the program such as cost management, budgeting, and financial estimating
  • Interface with Accounting, Finance, Contracts, Subcontracts, and Directors, for the purpose of insuring accurate forecasting, invoicing, accruals, and contract analysis information.
  • Provide verification of proposal pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare status reports of Orders, Sales, Income, Funds Flow, etc. and charts for performance analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience                                           

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related positions and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures, requirements documents, statements of work and contracts.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:   Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as profitability, application of overhead rates, return on sales, discounts, probabilities, percentages, etc.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office and Accounting software with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Other Essential Duties

  • Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
  • Knowledge of specific software (Excel, ERP…)

Other Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
