About The Role 44.01 is seeking a highly driven and analytical Lead – Financing Strategy to support the development and execution of the company’s corporate finance and capital raising activities. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in shaping our financing strategy, supporting investor engagement, and driving capital structuring initiatives to fuel our growth. This is a high-impact role with exposure to senior leadership and external stakeholders. What You'll Do <ul><li>Support the CFO in defining and implementing the company’s capital strategy, including equity, debt, and grant funding across corporate and project entities.</li><li>Build, enhance, and manage robust financial models used to evaluate funding options, support investor conversations, and drive strategic decisions.</li><li>Support all aspects of capital raising processes — from preparation of marketing materials and financial analysis to investor due diligence and transaction execution.</li><li>Coordinate with legal, technical, and external advisors to help structure deals that align with 44.01’s strategic and financial objectives.</li><li>Contribute to the evaluation of capital structure alternatives, balancing cost of capital, flexibility, and long-term business needs.</li><li>Prepare high-quality investor presentations, board materials, and internal reports that clearly articulate financial strategy and performance.</li><li>Track market trends, investor appetite, and competitive activity to inform financing strategy and investor messaging.</li><li>Provide analytical and strategic support for long-term capital planning and special finance projects.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with the FP&amp;A, commercial, and technical teams to align financial strategy with broader business priorities.</li><li>Provide mentorship and contribute to building a high-performance finance function.</li></ul> Who You Are <ul><li>6+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or strategic finance roles within a high-growth or sustainability-focused company.</li><li>Strong financial modelling skills and experience analysing financing structures and capital markets transactions.</li><li>Hands-on experience supporting or leading equity and/or debt fundraising processes, ideally involving institutional investors or DFIs.</li><li>Solid understanding of corporate and project finance principles, including financial structuring, risk assessment, and investor expectations.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and comfort preparing materials for and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
