Transportation Planning Assistant- Part-time / As-needed

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Documenting and observing customer behavior and patterns as they use a specific ticket vending machine (TVM).
• Engaging with members of the public by asking them to fill out a TVM Survey.
• Supporting the survey design team with feedback on design effectiveness.
• Collecting and organizing data on passenger counts at MBTA Commuter Rail Stations in Rhode Island.
• Assisting in the analysis of transportation patterns and trends based on collected data.
• Preparing basic reports and presentations on field observations and data findings.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure consistent data collection methodologies across different locations.
• Maintaining accurate records of field activities and observations.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of public engagement strategies for transportation projects.
• Supporting the team in creating visual aids and infographics to communicate transportation data effectively.
