Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyze, report and account for financial data of the main workstreams of the RU, deal with operational processes and recommend improvements in order to avoid major risks and increase profitability, handle meetings and initiatives with multi-disciplinary teams and follow-up the activities to ensure the implementation

Responsibilities:

• Daily finance report (SCRAP, maintenance, overtime and margin)
• Inventory analysis and forecast, days on hand and analyze inventory variances to avoid impacts in the results.  
• Perform physical inventories.
• Bill of materials management.
• Support to operations with any data needed to take decisions.
• Payroll accounting and analyze, reviewing labor rate per operation and mix of categories and staff.
• Cost roll-up management.
• Freight expense report and analyze to the Controller.
• Labor cost analyze, for scenarios forecast, budget and actual.
• Sales and margin analysis, for scenarios budget, forecast and actuals.
• Review and analyze the profitability for products of the launch projects and new programs, preventing any risk in the SOP and current production.
• To track any variances with the purchase prices for raw materials.
• Follow-up and detect the savings shared by Supply Chain into the P&L statement

Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or similar
• Advance English skills

Experience:

• Costs and variances analysis.
• Accounting.
• Knowledge with bill of materials.
• Performing physical inventories.
• SAP management.
• Proficient in Excel and databases.
