Your role

As our Office-IT Engineer, you will be the go-to person for all local and remote IT-related matters in our offices across Europe. You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day IT operations, ensuring our colleagues can perform their work, receive excellent technical support and our systems are always up and running. You enjoy problem-solving, building strong working relationships, and provide hands-on support.

Your overall responsibilities include

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all office IT infrastructure, including laptops, phones, software, meeting room, and network equipment.

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to local colleagues, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. This includes actively following up on tickets and ensuring user satisfaction.

  • Manage the lifecycle of end-user devices, including procurement, configuration, deployment, and retirement.

  • Ensure all devices and software are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates.

  • Efficiently handle and resolve IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Manage the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation/deletion and device provisioning/deprovisioning.

  • Participate in team projects focused on scaling IT support, improving efficiency through documentation (handbooks, knowledge base), and implementing new solutions. You will be able to help build relationships with IT vendors and providers.

  • Primarily focused on configuring and onboarding users to SaaS applications, as Fastned operates with limited on-premise servers. You have an interest in working within cloud environments.

  • Occasional travel to other European offices may be required to support the onboarding of new employees and provide on-site assistance.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you are proactive and have a strong background in end-user support and device management. You should be comfortable owning IT processes from troubleshooting and documentation to onboarding, offboarding, and stakeholder communication. Your ability to work independently while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships will help you thrive in our collaborative, international setting.

Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an Office IT support role working in a cloud environment or with SaaS applications.

  • Experience with device management (laptops, phones) and common troubleshooting issues.

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM). Okta would be a big plus.

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (e.g., Kanji, JAMF, Intune). MS Intune experience is a big plus.

  • Proficiency in either Google Workspace or Microsoft Active Directory.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • You are comfortable reaching out to colleagues after ticket resolution to ensure satisfaction.

  • Ability to convey technical information clearly and accurately in written procedures, explanations, and support messages.

  • Comfortable being in direct contact with people from various offices, including country managers or office managers, and providing hands-on support.

  • Excellent English proficiency (both written and verbal).

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.

  • MD-102 certification (Managing Modern Desktops).

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
