The Role



As GM – International, you’ll be the strategic and operational lead for all international markets. You’ll shape go-to-market plans, build and scale regional teams, drive growth, and ensure operational excellence as we expand across Europe and beyond. The ideal candidate is/was a regional Country Manager, highly experienced in going deep, and now looking to own a cluster/  a number of regions. 


This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.



 Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and execution of the international growth strategy, aligning closely with Product, Supply Chain, Creative, and Finance teams.
    Market Expansion: Evaluate, enter, and scale new markets. Own end-to-end market launches, from research to execution.
  • Team Leadership: Build, manage, and  mentor a high-performing team. 
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze performance data and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
  • P&L Ownership: Oversee budgets, revenue targets, and profitability across international operations.
  • Localization: Adapt brand, messaging, and operations to meet local market needs and regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to ensure alignment and resource support.
  • Partnerships: Identify and manage local strategic partnerships, vendors, and distributors.

You Bring 

  • 10+ years in general management, international expansion, or regional leadership roles (preferably in startups or scaleups)
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Ample experience in the CPG space 
  • A background in Retail/Grocery/Convenience / food service
  • Proven success in launching and growing markets from the ground up
  • Strong commercial acumen, with hands-on P&L ownership experience
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action
  • Nice to have: DTC experience 
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German) a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the challenge of building something new
  • Ability to work from our Cabra Figa office 3xs weekly and travel as warranted
